Grilling salmon is simple, fast, and flavorful. Level up your fish dinner by cooking on a cedar plank or mix it up and try cooking on sliced pineapple.
Steps
- Season and place salmon on a cedar plank or pineapple slices to prevent sticking. Soak planks in water for at least 30 minutes before grilling. Pineapple adds citrus flavor.
- Preheat grill to 400°F (medium-high).
- Place in the center of the grill.
- Grill up to 20 to 30 minutes, checking the temperature early. We pull salmon at 125°F. The USDA recommends cooking fish to 145°F, so 125°F is below that recommendation.
- Remove from grill and rest for 5 minutes.
